The Major Arcana of
Tarot of the
Pomegranatee
An-Magrith Erlandsen
began sketches of
Tarot of the Pomegranate
in 1998.
The Tarot of the Pomegranate's Major Arcana were completed in the year 2012, and the
paintings are approximately 5 ft. x 3 ft.
The remaining
Royal and Minor Arcana continue to be painted, which will culminate into a full Tarot deck of 78 cards.
The
ancient Tarot of Marseilles
woodcuts are the foundation of this Major Arcana, and the
powerful imagery transform into new shape in the 22 meticulously executed oil paintings
represented on this page. The Major Arcana have been removed from playing cards as we
know them today, all except The Fool ie; Joker. The idea
of "playing cards" began as a ruse to occult ie;
"hide" the teachings of the Tarot within the so-called
"vice of man", card playing. The church was and is still threatened by
the Tarot. It awakens the inner eye and eliminates the ignorance
that
the church thrives on. The church's power is generated by this
ignorance, therefore losing it is threatening to their "flock" ie; sheeple
who may awaken to the truth. Many have awakened, and many
will continue to wake up and remember who they truly are. It is significant to
meditate on the Major Arcana, so we may be assured that the
knowledge they hold will not be lost. That we may not remain
controlled, in fear and ignorance, as the powers that be would prefer.
Freedom of Spirit and Life is yours. Feed your
imagination, follow your intuitions, follow your dreams. Accelerate your growth through spiritual exploration in
whatever medium you are drawn to. You are your own god, allow
nature to be your guide.
Follow your will and you will remember your soul's purpose. "A
man must dream a long time in order to act with grandeur, and
dreaming is nursed in darkness." - Jean Genet. "There is a God
in man, and in Nature. He who sits in the Dark, is the Bringer
of Light." - Gaahl. "There is
no sun without shadow, and it is essential to know the night."
- Albert Camus. "My voice was given to me as an
instrument of inspiration for my friends, and a tool of torture
and destruction to my enemies. An instrument of truth." -
Diamanda Galas.
